How to Measure Your Fridge for a Wrap
Share
Ordering a fridge wrap starts with a tape measure. It takes about five minutes, and getting it right means less trimming and a cleaner finish. Here is exactly what to measure and how to pick the right size.
What you'll need
- A tape measure (a soft tailor's tape is handy on rounded edges)
- Paper and pen, or the notes app on your phone
- Your phone camera, in case you'd like us to double-check
Step 1: Measure the width
Measure the front of the doors you want to cover, from the left edge to the right edge. Write down the widest point.
Step 2: Measure the height
Measure from the bottom edge of the lowest door to the top edge of the highest door. If your fridge has more than one door, also measure each door separately (see multi-door fridges below).
Step 3: Note handles, dispensers and displays
Our wraps come without pre-cut holes. Handles, water and ice dispensers, and control panels are easy to trim around with a craft knife during installation. Just note where they are, so you know which part of the design will end up around them.
Step 4: Match your measurements to a size
| Size (width x height) | Fits |
|---|---|
| 24" x 67" (61 x 170 cm) | 24" apartment fridges |
| 30" x 70" (76 x 178 cm) | 28"–30" fridges: top-freezer, bottom-freezer, French door |
| 33" x 70" (84 x 178 cm) | 33" fridges: top-freezer, bottom-freezer, side-by-side, French door |
| 36" x 70" (91 x 178 cm) | 36" French door and side-by-side fridges (most popular) |
Choose the size that is equal to or slightly larger than your measurements. Wraps are cut slightly oversized, so you simply trim the excess at the edges during installation.
Multi-door fridges
French door, side-by-side, top-freezer and bottom-freezer fridges have two or more doors. Measure the width and height of each door and add the measurements to the order note (or email us after ordering). We'll split the design so it lines up across all doors.
Common US fridge widths
- 24" — apartment and compact fridges
- 28"–30" — top-freezer, bottom-freezer and narrow French door models
- 33" — top-freezer, bottom-freezer, side-by-side and French door models
- 36" — French door and side-by-side models, the most popular size
